A recent poll discovered that 56% of young women don’t think a woman needs to be married to have children, and 48% of young women would have children on their own if they weren’t married by age 35.  I know that single mothers abound out there, either by design or by unhappy circumstance, and that it can be a tough job, yet there are women that enjoy being the primary caregiver and decision maker for their children.  I prefer to wait, myself, until I have a husband to do his share of the work right along with me, and since I am not even remotely interested in marriage right now, it’s best for me to hold off, but I’m interested in everyone else’s point of view on this one.  Sound off ladies, and let’s hear your comments on the topic!

Personally, I love being a single woman - in fact, I’ve gotten so used to my footloose, independent lifestyle that my mate will have to drag me down the aisle, kicking, screaming, biting, punching, scratching, did I mention kicking?  Okay, you get the point!  Here are some reasons why -

• I can get up and go whenever, and wherever I please!  If I want to go to fly to California to visit friends on a whim, or I get a great deal on a last minute cruise to the bahamas, or just want run out to  a concert at the last second, I don’t have to clear those plans with anyone else!
• I’m not obligated to do laundry tonight because he doesn’t have any clean drawers!
• I can buy that $400 Coach purse without having to explain myself, or buy someone else something too!
• I don’t have to share my big ole’ bed, (unless I want to!)
• I can meet the gals for happy hour without having to rush home for another session of “Cooking under the influence!”
• I can sleep until noon the morning after said Happy Hour adventure without interruption!
• I can have pancakes for dinner every night without hearing any complaints!
• I can buy that hot pink area rug I’ve been eyeing, and plunk it down right in the middle of the living room floor without asking anyone’s agreement!

And there’s so many more advantages!  Come on gals, spill what you love most about being single, or for our committed friends, tell us what you miss the most.

A recent survey has discovered that 27% of young women questioned said that they’ve lied to a guy about the number of people they’ve slept with.  Hunh? 27% - that just can’t be correct, because if you asked my friends, about 97% have lied to a guy about how many people they’ve slept with.  Where the hell did they get these women?  Now, don’t get me wrong,  me & my girlfriends are not lying, conniving bed hopping whores but sheesh, a girl has got to have her secrets too!  I’m curious about what the general public has to say about this one.  Please feel free to comment on this issue so I can see which way the wind really blows.  Maybe they’re right, and I’m wrong, but I’m just saying - seems pretty unbelievable to me.  Sound off ladies!
