We’re in a Treasury!

You know, I’ve always listened to the buzz about treasuries on Etsy, and how hard people try to get them, and how cool it is to be in one, but until you’re randomly contacted by someone to tell you that they’ve selected something you made to be in a treasury, it’s hard to catch the fever, ya know? (whew *run on sentence*)  But now I know – and it’s a good feeling!  Now that I’ve gotten bit by the treasury bug I’m ready to jump in with both feet and start making some of my own!  But for now, see what Mollysmuses over at Etsy chose of mine to add to one of her treasuries, and then get over to Etsy and check out all of the other cool things she included as well.  The theme is Orchard is my favorite word

Lizzie Borden Took An Axe…

You all know that old rhyme don’t ya?  Poor Lizzie – although she was acquitted of giving her father 40 whacks with her axe, she remained a lonely spinster forever.  In tribute to Miss Borden I’d like to introduce you to a very talented young lady who has created an awesome Lizzie Borden inspired handbag that everyone needs to check out.  Her name is Jennifer, and she runs an Etsy shop called Under a Cuprous Moon.   Jennifer has some lovely sewn goods in her shop in addition to the gorgeous Lizzie Borden purse (created with Eye Candey fabric which she designed herself as well!), and has plans to add more bags in the near future as well.  Check out some of her work:

Get a look at the detail in this bag, Jennifer even included zipper pulls in the shape of axe heads!

And it’s also expandable, so you can fit in all the stuff you love to tote around in there:

Sooo, I suggest you waste no time heading on over to Under A Cuprous Moon and try to snap this baby up before it’s gone – I’m betting it won’t be long!

Embroidery Patterns in Etsy Shop!

I’ve added a new product to my Etsy shop – Embroidery pattern sets now available in 3 different sizes!  These embroidery patterns are pre-printed onto 100% cotton broadcloth, so no more iron-ons or transfer papers!  They come in 11″x14″, 16″x20″ and 43″x30″ so they can be incorporated into larger projects, framed, or used as wall hangings.  Each set comes with the fabric printed with design, stitching instructions and an embroidery needle.  Custom images are also available.  Check them out in the Shop today!

Fresh New Spin On Vintage!

While trolling through all of the wonderful handmade treasures on etsy recently I came across the most awesome shop by Trixiedelicious called Vandalized Vintage.  Trixie reworks vintage china, and if you have a taste for the outrageous then this is the shop for you!  Her items combine 2 of my favorite things – china (so elegant, so classic) and bold sentiments, and I’ve gotta tell you, I had a hard time choosing which of her items to feature – I just love them all.  Check out this Breakfast trio:

It just doesn’t get any better than this…. oh, but it does because she has tons of other delicious items in her shop that I’m sure you’ll fall in love with.  So check out her etsy shop and choose your favorite item!
